Doblox is a trading platform that allows you to trade and analyze in numerous cryptocurrency exchanges, monitor media and social media and use many other features in an all in one interface.
To do so, you should use an exchange API key. This is a safe and reliable way to use a trading platform because it does not give access to your confidential data as Doblox also does not access any funds management (withdrawals & deposits).
API Key (Access Key): This key authenticates users and specifies which account is connecting to the third-party service.
Secret Key: This key establishes an additional security layer by demanding a confidential token for request authentication.
Passphrase: Often generated by users, this passphrase acts as an extra security measure.
IP Whitelist: In late 2022, as a result of heightened security measures, exchanges started expiring API keys periodically. Consequently, platforms like Doblox now offer the ability to specify IP whitelist addresses, aiming to enhance security without burdening users with the need to frequently change API keys.
Note: You can connect several exchange accounts to your Doblox account to speed your trading and make it more sophisticated and smoother with less stress and exhaustion.
Login into your Kucoin account.
If you haven't created a Kucoin account yet, you can start the process by following this link.
Click on profile on the upper right-hand corner of the screen. When the drop-down menu is open, go to “API Management” (or choose it in the menu on the left).
Here if you haven’t done the security methods, you should do all the steps by clicking on “Edit” in front of each one.
Now, click on “Create API”.
A new page pops up. Click and choose the “Link Third-Party Application” tab.
Now on the first drop-down field, find and choose “Doblox”.
Then you should fill in the other blanks. Choose and write a name in the “API Name” blank and also choose and write a password in the “API Passphrase” blank.
Note: Copy and keep the chosen “Passphrase” somewhere safe, because you should use this code when you want to make changes to the API.
Now , on the bottom of this section, you should give some permissions like the image below (pay attention that all the “withdraw” and “transfer” permissions should be unchecked). After turning on all the necessary permissions, click on the “Next”.
Here a pane pops up which you should fill the blanks with your trading password, Email verification code and Google 2FA code. Then click “Confirm”.
Your “API key” and "Secret Key” are created. Copy and record the keys in a secure location to use them in further steps below (We insist on recording them somewhere else because the “Secret Key” might be shown just once and goes away as you close the pane or go to another page). Click on the “Confirm”.
Now go back to your account in Doblox and follow the instructions below.
When you enter your Doblox account, click on the profile (dummy icon) on the upper right-hand corner of the panel and choose the “Exchange Management” option.
A pane is open, choose the “Exchanges/Wallets” tab.
In this tab, click on the “+ Exchange” button on the right of the page.
Another pane is open which you should fill the fields with the information (Keys) you received from Kucoin (You can fill the “Nickname” field with whatever name you like. Here we suggest filling it with “My Kucoin”).
Choose Kucoin from the first drop-down field (Exchange).
Fill the “API key” and “Secret key” Fields with the given keys that you took from Kucoin.
Important: You don't need to use the IP whitelisting code for Kucoin.
Now click on the “Add Exchange” button.
Now your Kucoin account is connected to Doblox and you can enjoy trading. Please check if the API is synced by going to [profile > “Exchange Management” > “Exchanges | Wallets'' tab].
Note: When generating the API keys, selecting Doblox as a “Third Party Application” automatically whitelists your API key by IP. Therefore, no additional steps are needed.
