Consequently, platforms like Doblox now offer the ability to specify IP whitelist addresses, aiming to enhance security without burdening users with the need to frequently change API keys.
Take these steps to set IP of Doblox in Bitfinex whitelist:
First log into your Doblox account, click on the profile (dummy icon) on the upper right-hand corner of the panel and choose the “Exchange Management” option.
A pane is open, choose the “Exchanges/Wallets” tab.
In this tab, click on the “+ Exchange” button on the right of the page.
Another pane is open where you can find two IP codes in the “API Whitelist” field (they’re separated by a comma). Copy them.
Now log in to your Bitfinex account and click on profile (the dummy icon on the upper right-hand corner of the screen). When the drop-down menu is open, go to the “API keys” and as another pane is open, click on the “My API Keys”.
On the new page, find the “API key” you’ve just made. Click on “permissions”.
A new pane is open. Click on “Edit” on the upper-right corner of the pane.
Go to the bottom of the pane and find the “Allow access from any IP” option. Turn it off. A blank field appears. Fill it with the “API Whitelist” codes you’ve copied from Doblox (There is a comma in between each IP address). Then click on “Update Permissions”.
A pane appears where you should do the 2 factor authentication. Fill the blank with the given token and click on “Authenticate”.
Your API key is now whitelisted.
