# How to create and set up Bitmart API key

Here, we show you how to generate and connect Bitmart API key to the Doblox trading platform.

Doblox is a trading platform that allows you to trade and analyze in numerous cryptocurrency exchanges, monitor media and social media and use many other features in an all in one interface.

To do so, you should use an exchange API key. This is a safe and reliable way to use a trading platform because it does not give access to your confidential data as **Doblox** also **does not access any funds management (withdrawals & deposits).**

1. **API Key (Access Key):** This key authenticates users and specifies which account is connecting to the third-party service.
2. **Secret Key:** This key establishes an additional security layer by demanding a confidential token for request authentication.
3. Memo: In BitMart, please consider adding a memo for adding an API.

**Note:** You can connect several exchange accounts to your Doblox account to speed your trading and make it more sophisticated and smoother with less stress and exhaustion. 

**How to create a Bitmart API key?** 

1. Login into your Bitmart account.
2. Click on profile (the dummy icon on the upper right-hand corner of the screen). When the drop-down menu is open, choose the “API Management” option.

3. On the new page, click on the “API” tab.

4. Create API key And secret Key.
5. In the new pane, you should identify what changes the API can make. Pay high attention to just **Check the ones shown below** (Doblox **does not** have any f**und management** features, but still for ensuring it’s better to keep these options **off**). Then click the “Create” button.
6. Your “API key” and "Secret key” are created. **Copy and record them** in a secure location to use them in further steps below (**We insist of recording them** somewhere else because the “Secret Key” might be shown just once and goes away as you close the pane or go to another page).
7. Now go back to your account in Doblox and follow the instructions below.
8. When you enter your Doblox account, click on the profile (dummy icon) on the upper right-hand corner of the panel and choose the “Exchange Management” option.

10. A pane is open, choose the “Exchanges/Wallets” tab.&#x20;
11. In this tab, click on the “+ Exchange” button on the right of the page.

12. Another pane is open which you should fill the fields with the information (Keys) you received from Bitmart (You can fill the “Nickname” field with whatever name you like. Here we suggest filling it with “ My Bitmart”).

13. Choose Bitmart from the first drop-down field (Exchange).

14. Fill the “API key” and “Secret key” And Memo as passphrase Fields with the given keys that you took from Bitmart.

15. Now click on the “Add Exchange” button.&#x20;
16. Now your Bitmart account is connected to Doblox and you can enjoy trading. Please check if the API is **synced** by going to \[profile > “Exchange Management” > “Exchanges | Wallets” tab].&#x20;
